Guide: Teaching about Data

As part of her PhD at the Data Justice Lab at Cardiff University, UNBLACK THE BOX member Ina Sander collaborated with Gus Hosein from the NGO Privacy International to develop the online guide “Teaching about Data”. The guide addresses educators who want to teach about data and technology and promote critical data literacy among their learners. The original English version can be found on the Privacy International website.

In addition, a German version of the guide was created with funding from the Centre for Advanced Internet Studies and design support from the Münchrath agency. It is available on the German UNBLACK THE BOX website. Moreover, we developed a print version of the German guide. For this purpose, all content was adapted for printing (e.g. QR codes instead of hyperlinks) and the layout was optimised for double-sided printing.
